Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.9/100, a mean average of 64.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 64.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.8.

Not a bad album. Pales in comparison to the 70's glory days but still has a few great songs.

Although 'Strangers in the Night' appears at the top of the UFO chart and I shall probably be shot down in flames by the core fans for saying it, I prefer the more melodic sound on 'making contact'. The synth cords and searing guitar on 'A Fool for Love' are more my 'cup of tea' or 'glass of beer' in the case of UFO. 'You and Me' is a superb track with an excellent, simple synth cord arrangement which cries out for a searing Schenker lead guitar solo which sadly doesn't arrive as Scenker was long gone by this time. The opening to 'When its time to Rock' is very Gillan era. For me a really good heavy rock album. One I should listen to more often, the last listen being about 15 years ago!
