92.22 First Maiden I bought. Hooked forever more so I got a soft spot for this album so I've probably rated it a bit higher than it deserves. Doesn't have the overall quality in songs that are on a few of their other albums but overall still a damn fine record.

88.888* In the top 3 of all he's done. By far the best of his solo albums. On par with the mighty 'Rainbow Rising'. Only surpassed by the ultimate 'Heaven & Hell'. A trifecta like that makes him one of the greatest vocalists ever. 08/25

88.50 One of the first Motorhead I owned. I listened to it so continuously I could recite every lyric of every song after a couple of weeks. Very under rated. A lot of people don't like it due to Eddie leaving and being replaced by Brian Robertson. Regardless, it's a bloody fine album. Holds a dear place in my heart.

84.727* Even though massively polished and commercially pushed with a heap of singles and heavily MTV friendly, this is a great album stacked with top tunes. I was one who didn't really give it a fair hearing at the time due to the commercialism, but it's hard to overlook the quality of nearly every song. A lot better than what the critical purists preach. 08/25

84.00 One of the best debuts ever. 'Four Horsemen' being great thrash prog. 'Jump in the Fire' a brilliant basic metal riff that you can't help but not play air guitar to. Newcomers who overtook all others in the shortest ever period and completely left them in there wake.

82.00* I like their unique sound & style. Semi minimilistic. Conjures up images of a band of hill people that have relocated to the coast due to their love of garage rock. I'm sure that description will make perfect sense 03/25

An album that went awol on me for a couple of decades. Forgot how fucking great it was. One of the greatest albums that combined blues & rock. A true guitar legend. 05/24
