“Bronco” is elevated by Peck’s rich and endearing voice. His croons add a lot of life to the songs. The lyricism can feel a bit generic with topics sounding like they were pulled from a country encyclopedia. Still, the album lacks any real groaners of lines and his vocals pretty them up. Instrumentally, the guitars sound full and rise to the center of every track. They are paired elegantly with banjo on “Hexie Mountains”. A solid album that I think Peck can grow from.
