Duncan Sheik's debut is excellent. Sheik is mistaken as a one hit wonder with Barely Breathing when he is actually a talented artist throughout
Serena, Home, and She Runs Away are fantastic songs.
Sheik's music is sparse and dramatic at the same time, a unique combination.
He turned away from the spotlight making a couple complicated orchestral releases on purpose. Phantom Moon is super underrated.
He returned to a simpler version of this on Daylight and released a couple albums of quality that are more hushed and whispered but still solid.
People really missed the boat on this guy and he has a catalogue spanning 2 decades.
He is much more than "the guy who had that song Barely Breathing"
