Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 54.3/100, a mean average of 51.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 51.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.4.

This collection of tracks that didn't fit on any of their other albums is pretty awful. Rivers Cuomo singing "I'm just a loser on my way to work", "I reach my cubicle at 9AM" feels so inauthentic. The Odd Couple and Autopilot are decent but can't save this "album"

Death To False Metal is a compilation of unreleased tracks from throughout Weezer's career. It's a mishmash of songs and styles, forming an incontinent album with a couple of interesting songs and many forgettable ones. The first two songs contain fine guitar play and catchy choruses, in a style true to the band, but the rest of the tracks seem a bit hastily thrown together. There are fine songs here, like "Losing My Mind" and "The Odd Couple" as well as awkwardly comedic rants, like "I'm A Robot" and "Autopilot". And then there is a personal favourite of mine, the cover "Unbreak My Heart", which is far better than the original.

This is an album of previously unreleased songs. It's hit and miss, but mostly quite dull

Disappointing even as an obvious B-side collection.

I don't consider this an official album because it's mostly filled with scraps than weren't used on previous records. Weezer's scraps a lot of the time end up better than songs that make the albums, but that is far from the case here. Their cover of Unbreak My Heart is probably the best song on this very forgettable album.

Weezer's worst album. There's no questioning it. Best tracks: Turning Up The Radio, Blowin' My Stack, Trampoline
