Lots of filler here.
Not quite a comeback album for Lenny Kravitz in terms of record sales, but for me, this was his best effort since 5. My biggest criticism of Lenny's albums is that they are just too long. Stick to your 10 best tracks.
What a disappointment Mr. Kravitz has become. "Mama Said" is a great album. Everything since then has become progressively more and more mundane.

Lenny Kravitz seems to have gone a different direction with his music than the public is used to. I can’t say I’ve really ever been Kravitz’s biggest fan. I respect him as a guitar player, and some of his songs are alright, however he has a habit of consistently being mediocre. I look at his collective body of work and I think “meh." And this album is no different in quality. However in sound, it is a bit different, at least with a few songs. Perhaps the most obvious are the two songs that feature rappers. One features Jay-Z and the other features Drake. Now Jay-Z I love, Drake I don’t, but the rappers in Kravitz’s music just seem slightly out of place. Some of the songs on this album are decent, most are just mediocre. It’s an ok album.
