Meshuggah decided to re-record (and in the case of the final track, Obsidian, add on to) their 2002 album Nothing, and this version is widely considered superior. The production sounds a bit more cohesive and the drums sound more punchy. Overall, this version just gels a lot better. Though I actually prefer the tone of the guitars on the original recording, there's no denying this re-recording sounds great.
