There is some debate around who released the first psychedelic album. Many would argue in favour of the Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Beatles or Hendrix. I believe Paul Revere and the Raiders, perhaps unconsciously released the first psychedelic material on vinyl. This 1967 compilation pretty much proves that for me, side two in particular proves this point.
