The Canadian 3-piece bring a whole lot of musical chops to the stage with this release. Fantastic musicianship on both sides of the LP, with diverse offerings of arena-style rock and roll music (Think Boston, Journey, etc.). I particularly like side 2, which rises and falls to a seamless conclusion. Some tracks on side one feel a bit overstuffed (sorry to say).
Fans of Journey, Chilliwack, April Wine, etc. will appreciate the tunes. (Edited)

The first album with the great Triumph Formula. Lay it on the Line is radio friendly massive power chords, Just a Game is Rik's more introspective side, Hold On is the big power ballad, and Fantasy Serenede is Rik's wonderful acoustic interlude. (Edited)
Just A Game proved to be the successful 'format' of future Triumph albums. There are some great tracks such as Lay It On The Line, Hold On and Movin' On, but the lyrics for American Girls is just plain awful.
