While I don’t think 1979 reaches the mountainous peaks that certain other years of this decade do, I think there are some really unique records on this chart. It’s a pretty telling result of where music was and where it would be going shortly thereafter.
Again, to me there might not be a Dark Side of the Moon or Songs in the Key of Life or Blue this year but the top ten is actually pretty awesome and really unique.
