Her most accessible work, and it doesn't take away from the quality. Not Pastel Blues, but still fantastic. (Edited)
A great showcase of Simone's intrinsic understanding of the music she performs. A few stand-out tunes, especially tracks 1 and 7. The only weak track is #10. Everything about this album is class. 9/10! (Edited)

Not quite on the level of Pastel Blues or of Sings the Blues, but no one does it like Nina. Helps that the highs on this thing are bone-crushing. Simply the best shit. (Edited)

The best cover of "Feeling Good" goes to Ms Nina Simone; so powerful and emotional.
I was impressed by this album way more than I thought I would be, jeez this woman has a voice. Feelin Good and I Put a Spell on You are both incredible songs and it's nice to see Simone give a nod to an amazing artist like Brel (she has an admirable accent for an American but as a French-speaking person it stills sounds fairly awkward). Nevertheless, this album is just incredible, underrated on this site, timeless music. (Edited)
A superb album from Nina Simone. It's a quirky jazz pop album featuring some fantastic songs. Simone is excellent all the way through. Marriage is for old folks, is brilliant, as are, be me quitte pas, July tree, and the title track. Simone made some great albums in the sixties, this is one of them. (Edited)
