Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.5/100, a mean average of 64.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 65.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.1.

I like Stevens´intent to diversify a lot more than the release itself. It is my least favorite of his albums so far.

Someone got inspired by Radiohead to imitate Aphex Twin. Some parts are genuinely interesting, some parts are as "haha I'm so random" as the title.

Edit: So great to see Sufjan fans hate this for all the wrong reasons.

Edit edit: HAHAHA IT ENDS WITH 'YEAR OF OUR LORD', and of course it's the only song without raw electronics.

It is not that bad, I think prog fans may even enjoy it. And it helps you understand where Illinois sound comes from. 6/10.

The first track was hurt in my ear. Seriously, one of the worst albums of Sufjan. It looks like he took a program and threw some random sounds. Even the good tracks here are long in annoying way. Awful.
