One of Adams' better and least appreciated albums...dark, moody, and full of traditional folk strains and bends...wonderful work...
One of Ryan Adams strongest and mosr consistent LP's. Some of his best writing is here, especially on, strawberry wine, Carolina rain, and, the sadness. A good album.

This album was very disappointing on the heels of two very good albums with the Cardinals. All these songs are pleasant enough, but not a track stands out. How did this happen?
