Scarecrow is a decent track, and there were definite signs they could become a great band here, but not one of their better releases. (Edited)
Despite not becoming aware of James till around 89 when they started to get more radio play this is easily my favourite album of theirs. Chock full of idiosyncrasies this is James working at their own level before the distractions of Madchester and chasing a bigger sound diluted their ideas.
