Once Upon a Time there was something in the early seventies that you could call Rock Cabaret. It was kind of like an offshoot of Glam Rock. And this is the best album to ever come out of it.

Miss Midler's version of SUPERSTAR inspired Karen Carpenter to record it. Midler's version has more heartache to it, though...
