Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.3/100, a mean average of 66.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 21.9.

I'd give it a 100 if you took out "Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks"

Good pop punk. It constantly risks becoming very samey, but the front singer manages to make every song worthwhile. The random drum machine intermezzos are funny, but not much more honestly. I get it though, just "Panic!" is a really weird name for a band. But jokes aside, those intermezzos can sound really forced in there to make the whole appear to have more variation, because they know that just their pop punk style is not going to be enough. Sometimes it sounds genuinely well implemented though, so I'm not sure what to think of it.

Proof that Panic! works better as a band and not a Brendon Urie solo act desperately grasping at modern trends

I have to admit that I avoided this album for years after many friends insisting that I listen to it. I'm very glad that I did but I feel you have to like alternative rock before you can truly enjoy it. It takes a couple of listens to warm up to as well. But it's truly great.
