Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.8/100, a mean average of 75.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.0.

Musically I'd say the basslines are the best feature, and I like their heavyness and depth. The laid-back synth accompaniment is nice but gets a bit old at times. I felt the album could have used more musical variety and daring - and also some more meaningful lyrics, because there's only so much you can say about bit ches, hoes and weed. The rapping itself is very good though, including a good selection of guest rappers in the right measure. The best tracks are pretty great, including closer "Pump Pump" with Mr. Malik. Overall I like the album, and it's better than The Chronic.

The album is clearly a spoof of hardcore rap albums. Once you "get" that, then you can appreciate the absurdity of it, much in the style of Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde (although more subtle about it, believe it or not). 9.5/10!

Very fun rap record for parties, I also love g-funk beats.

Top notch production, top notch flows and rhymes. Possibly best west coast 90's release.

It's a classic hip hop record but just like anything from Dr. Dre I find this to be over-rated. A good set of tracks but all-in-all this record means nothing. That being said, it means something to the history of hip hop and is definitely a must to listen to. The notable tracks are the singles that everyone pretty much knows already...

Maybe if hip-hop was a bit more comedic and tongue-in-cheek like this, with ultra melodic rhymes and background loops like this, then I would be into the genre. Snoop's voice is smooth and Dre's production is impeccable. This is G-Funk, baby, one of three rap albums I've heard that I have any care in the world for... so far... thanks Dre.

The ultimate party album, as long as there's no feminists or strongly moral people in the party lol.

A hip hop classic. It's hard not to like Snoop Dogg, he's one of the most charismatic and likable music stars in the industry. The hooks are also unbelievably catchy.

Overall song rating 84/100 - album is rated 77/100. How can one of the greatest rap albums of all time be rated with such disregard?
