The guitar riffs are insanely heavy and I love them, but I just can't stand the vocals I'm sorry. Ruins most of the tracks. I give the guy props for how angry he is though. Roots Bloody Roots is my favourite track. (Edited)

This album has a special place in my heart. This would be the last ‘heavy metal’ album I purchased (if you discount Tool as heavy metal, which I do). It was transitional for me and its theme and the style of incorporating tribal indigenous sounds with a real groove makes it one of the more interesting heavy metal albums to return to. (Edited)

Ratamahatta is the only notable song on here. This bands vocals went from great (Beneath the Remains, Arise) to passable (Chaos A.D.) to simply annoying (Roots).
Top class metal album. Heavy as fuck. Angry as fuck. But unlike most albums of this genre where the songs all seem to blend into each other, the tracks on this each have their distinct uniqueness and difference. Which is what makes it a cut above and deservedly placed as a classic. One of the better metal albums out there. (Edited)
