Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.1/100, a mean average of 76.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.5.

"Piètre" travelling through time... "Pain" can be saved from the whole album.

Despite missing the intoxicating wooziness of Ferment, Chrome has a powerful and invigorating sound.

Nice record. I need to start adjusting my expectations when I hear that a band is "shoegaze" though. I always think I'm going to hear a long lost My Bloody Valentine record every time I listen to a shoegaze band that I've never heard and it never goes down like that.

Much more heavier than Ferment. Standout tracks include Crank and Mary. Definitely worth a listen, although I think Ferment is better.

Shoegaze? I have never heard shoegaze this good before. Show Me Mary was even a great song!

If you want shoegaze that'll make your balls drop. this is it/ Although many prefer Ferment. let's not forget this one/ It's more metallic but still sounds like shoegaze and it's mind-blowingly awesome. It's a must-listen.
