Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 79.0/100, a mean average of 77.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.8.

One of the greatest albums that combined blues & rock. A true guitar legend. Front half is the much stronger though.

This album changed my world in 1983. I had a C-cassette that I got from my friend, I just turned it over and over again... Superb and timeless...1990 was a sad year when we lost him. The energy and skill is just unbelievanble

My love for the blues is never ending and he was one of the best at it.

I’ve never really been interested in SRV but after listening to this record for the first time tonight, I am inclined to listen to the rest of the discography. Fun, chill album.

Per come la vedo io l'ultimo ed il più personale dei grandi chitarristi folgorati da Hendrix è stato proprio Steve Ray Vaughan, soprattutto all'altezza di questo esordio.
"Pride and joy" e "Mary had a little lamb" le migliori...

Earth shattering debut here. Killer electric blues work. As amazing as this album is, Stevie would grow beyond on his next album and top himself as a unique artist.
