If "Live at the Apollo" perfectly captures him inventing the soul genre and kicking ass, "In the Jungle Groove" does the same with funk. What a guy.

I am amazed at what James Brown can pull off. This disc has some long jams, with little more than a single riff while James screams intermittently over it.
Not a bad compilation but if you have only one by Mr. Brown this is it.
