Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.9/100, a mean average of 77.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.6.

Wow it beggars belief that an album as good as this one currently sits at # 972 on the BEA Over Chart as per August 2018 whilst garbage like The Rolling Stones 'Aftermath' sits inside the top 500
Where to begin with this album ? Wire to wire its superb from the unconventional opening salvo of "The House That Guilt Built" into the wonderful "Happy" and "She Sends Kisses" there isn't a weak or filler moment here
Favourite lyrics are from track 11 "Everyone Choose Sides" which sums up this album perfectly"

80/100
I give this album 100 stars. It was seamless and beautiful. Words can't express how good this album sounded. The best I ever heard in my life.
Each song stands out on its own, yet, as a whole the record simply becomes enormous. I don't know which song is my favorite, because there are so many, but I have a favorite lyric, which is a perfect closer for this comment.
"I’m a footnote at best… I envy who comes next"
I completely and utterly love this album. If I could marry an album, I would totally marry this. It's like every song is the best pop song you've ever heard, and they're all together in one album. Choosing a favourite track on this is impossible, so my favourite is Happy, She Sends Kisses, This Boy Is Exhausted, Hopeless, Boys, You Won't and Everyone Choose Sides. That's not to say the other songs aren't fantastic, because they are. And underrated gem that even I think I underrate.
Incredible
Incredibly atmospheric album, which has an excellent blend of music and lyrics.
I really wanted to like this album because of the band's history, and enigmas surrounding them, but I just ended up feeling 'meh' on this thing.
The instrumentation is good, but not spectacular, their sound is not even that original, but most of all I couldn't bare the lead singer's voice; it's numbing because it's so ordinary and boring. But hey, this is not an overall bad record, the first and the last track are amazing, maybe I just like The Wrens more when they're downbeat? I'll try to give it a few more listens and see what happens.
Songs for the emo version of the high school girl on the cover of If You're Feeling Sinister.
One of the saddest albums I've listened. We can all relate in some way or another.
