"Hearkening back to the quick-moving bebop jazz of the 50s, this record has some swiftness to it! Hancock is great on piano, but I think the highlight of the entire album is Fred Hubbard on trumpet. He threw everything he had at this album and it pretty much all stuck."  Reply

"I love Kieran Ebden's positive-vibed, light-infused down tempo electronica. It makes for a nice contrast to his sometimes collaborator, Burial, who has a darker, broodier downtempo feel. As such they make for a perfect yin-yang album collection to simply chill out to depending on your mood. Round..."  [+]  Reply

"Whatever else you say about this album...it's definitely unique. The lyrical content has a certain sense of of humor and the music is certainly different from most of the heavy arena rock bands of the day. It's a bit corny at times, but it definitely gets points for originality."  Reply

"I really like this album as it has focus and direction which was not on a few of their previous outings. My favourite would have to be Childhood's End - great feel, awesome lyrics and a typically haunting Gilmour solo."  Reply

"This album is all over the place but not in a bad way. Track 1 is pretty poppy and fun, track 2 has a middle eastern vibe to it but still sounds like it could be the same album as track 1. Then track 3, Pyramid of Bones, comes on and I’m blindsided by a straight up metal track. There are some mom..."  [+]  Reply

"Patrick Stickles merges reality with fantasy in this album. The Civil War serves as a backdrop for something larger. The Monitor is constantly referencing "the enemy" as the Confederates of the Civil War, as well as the conformists of modern society. Listen to this album hard. Move all distractio..."  [+]  Reply

Comments:
"“Wetleg” tries a bit too hard to be clever. Songs attempt to have this wry sense of humor about them, but it rarely hits the mark. This produces groaner lyrics such as “To tell me if I'm thin or fat, to tell me should I shave my rat”. The focus on wordplay also comes at the cost of thematic meani..."  [+]  Reply
