Lots of influences here ... Indian (Susheela is Tamil), Jazz, Soul, Blues, Folk. All blended with her pure voice.
Excellent.
The album was nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2001.
But she was up against P J Harvey who won that year with Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea.
