Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. A so-so album, but the highs are very high. Revelation and Did You Ever Love Me stand up with Fleetwood Mac's best work.
From the 2nd phase of Fleetwood Mac with Bob Welch and an often forgotten era for the band but they did some nice albums. This is particularly fine.
One of the better albums between the Peter Green Fleetwood Mac and the more popular classic line up.
