Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 9% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.1/100, a mean average of 74.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.1.

okay
This is the starter kit for Squeeze, accessible songs and fine production, and "Tempted" is the song. Against that, they deserve awful disgrace for the absolute worst triplet rhyme in history: "notice" "hopeless" and "Trini Lopez..." Shocking, and it probably was the final end of the British Empire.
To Jlinville. I live in the UK and, Labelled with love, was a massive hit, reaching number four on our singles chart, easily the biggest single from the album. Is that love? the second 'biggest' single from the album only reached 45.That's the explanation for my comment.
The songwriting of Difford and Tillbrook was at an apex when they made this album. A comment on this album said that "Labled with Love" was "oviously" the most famous track on it, I have personally never heard it except on this album. Maybe it was big in the UK or Australia. "Tempted" was the closest thing to a hit Squeeze ever had in America --and "Is that Love?" was on "Singles, 45 and uner", but niether aret my favorite song on this gem. "Woman's World", "Vanity Fair" "In Quintessense" are all stunningly good.
Another fine Squueze album. Not as coherent and consistent as, cool for cats, but still full of great songwriting. Labelled with love, is obviously the most famous track, but there's plenty of other fine songs here.
One of the better New Wave albums in general. With Elvis Costello producing, this is probably the best Squeeze album. Not as quirky as Argybargy or Cool With Cats, a bit more polished with a dab of soul influence. Best songs are "Vanity Fair" and "Woman's World" but "In Quintessence" and "Labelled With Love" are also enjoyable. Same with "Tempted" although it's one of the more overplayed and slightly overrated New Wave tunes.
Nothing special.
