In 1976 we set of for our family holiday which involved 24 hours of continuous driving to the south of France - around 1000 miles away. My Dad took the wheel for the whole exhausting trip and slipped the one & only cassette we had into the car’s tape player. Every time the tape came to an end my Mum flipped it.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME.
I reckon we must have heard this album about 30 times on the bounce by the time we arrived in sunny Nice. We knew every word and fantastic harmony by heart. Still do.
And I love it today 100 listens later.
PS most Mamas and Papas comps don’t have California earthquake which is a big miss.
