Tipico prodotto del rock degli anni ottanta, i New Model Army erano un po' tamarri ( anche nel look, come quasi tutti del resto trent'anni fa… ) e un po' sinceri nel proporre un rock danzante ( l'immortale "Poison Street" che vale il disco da sola ) ma mai danzereccio, legato alle radici quanto basta e figlio pure della New Wave come dell'hard.
