I'm surprised it's ranked so low. This is probably my third favorite Switchfoot album. Every track is solid. I also think it represents a risk for them in that with it they stepped a bit away from straight forward guitar rock to something more synth pop. I think it was largely successful.
This is by far the worst Switchfoot album. I can only bear to listen to 3 songs:

Slipping Away
BA55
The rest is just a bunch of wanna-be anthemic songs where everyone is supposed to sing the chorus together and feel better. And the mastering is horrible. Skip this album and don't ever look back!
Repetitive at the end, but very catchy, Switchfoot's 2014 album is a good start for the year.
