Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 79.8/100, a mean average of 78.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.2.

One of those lightning in a bottle albums where an artist comes from relative obscurity to worldwide critical and commercial acclaim never to get close again and at the same time stealing the stoner slacker crown from Pavement and carrying the torch for the 2010’s
No, your LP isn’t warped this is how ‘Salad Days’ sounds
this album feels like a wasted summer afternoon that you keep longing for in the best possible way
Great chilled music. Not as many highlights on it as This Old Dog for me. My highlights are Blue Boy and Salad Days (what a great opening 2 tracks to an album).

The talent this guy has is insane. One of the very, very few artists I've heard that didn't start in the 60's or 70's, and the only one who started after the 90's. So far.
Favorite Tracks: Salad Days, Blue Boy, Let Her Go

bland soft rock that reminds me a bit of blur, but without their quirky alternativeness.
