Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.4/100, a mean average of 78.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.0.

Deu muita liga!!!

This album is really good. The flow, charisma, and beats all go together real well. Doesn't disappoint. I don't know if it's as good as Madvillainy but its good.
Great album with incredible chemistry between Gibbs and Madlib. There is some fillers toward the end but still a great album.
Perfect album. One of the best collaborations between 2 of the most amazing artists in their field. Legitimately couldn't find anything bad about this album.

Piñata's got that old school vibe. Love it. Production is really dynamic.
Awesome album.
Favorites: High, Bomb, Shitsville, Thuggin'
Good album. The first half is better than the last half.
Favorite tracks: Deeper, High, Shitsville, Thuggin'
B+

Starts to drag on, but the closer brings it back. Awesome way to end an album
One of my favorite producers, Madlib, and one of the best gangsta rappers of his generation, Freddie Gibbs, collaborate on one of the best old school albums of the decade. We agree, "Piñata" does not represent a revolution in rap, we can even call this album nostalgic. Nostalgic of the time when we wore a pair of Jordans, where we did not have a cell phone and where Biggie was alive. But "Piñata" remains a very successful record, both in terms of production and performance of Freddie Gibbs. The duo works very well, even if listening to Piñata does not manage to forget the association of Madlib with DOOM on "Madvillainy", or Jaylib and his "Champion Sound". This album is perfect for fans of Madlib (like me) who will have the opportunity to put in the mouth of all new beats of the Loopdigga, but it will also satisfy listeners looking for a gangsta rap quality. As Gibbs himself says in opening of "Thuggin": "Niggas be like" Fred, you're not never lied ", Fuck the rap shit my gangsta been solidified, Still do my business on the side".
9/10
Best track: "Deeper"
