Even though Pure X didn't return to their early sound- they definitely met it halfway. "Rain" is the track that uses the most noise- and in a gorgeous way, making it the emotional centerpiece of the record. It starts off very strong, with the first four tracks being excellent, but starts to falter in tracks 5-8. It picks up again though, and finishes strong. Pretty alright album overall.
