Good album-- but the several predecessors were SO good that this'n takes a mental effort to go to.
A smoother and slicker Little Feat record, but that in turn loses the raw edge they had on previous albums. There's a jazz rock feel on same tracks, such as the beautiful, long distance love. Other strong cuts are, down below the borderline, and, somebody's leaving. A good LP, but not in the same class as the previous three.
After hearing this, especially Long distance love, which is sublime in Its mood and simplicity, I became a fan of this eclectic group.
Other top tracks here is All that you dream, One love stand, Somebody's leavin', Mercenary territory. Lowell George is outstanding on slide guitar with a melancholic feel you can't resist. Spine-tingling!
