Whether or not you like this album totally depends on how you prefer your Polly Jean. Are you into the raw rough PJ such as this album, ‘Rid of Me’ and ‘To Bring You My Love’ ? Or the more structured rock releases like ‘ Stories From the City . . . ‘ and ‘The Hope Six Demolition Project’. I personally have always much preferred the former so really dig ‘Uh Huh Her’
Along with, is this desire?, uh huh her, is PJ Harvey's weakest album. They are the two records that don't seem to have a theme running through them, musically or lyrically. It's never going to be bad with PJ but she's obviously lacking inspiration here. Disappointing rather than bad.
I like this record. The woman is not afraid to switch things up.

Most of these songs just aren't good... it's definitely her worst so far.
