I enjoyed this album. Sia has a way of crafting a song that adds a dimension to simple pop material. The mounting tension in "Chandelier" is a prime example. Perhaps it was the saturation of the video in 2014 - it seemed to be playing wherever I looked, but this song left an indelible impression on my brain. The rest of the album nearly rises to those highs again and again.
The Lyricism and vocals feel genuinely honest. I would like to talk about the vocals further......DAMN! The girl can really belt a note. Not in a Freddie Mercury way but more in an Eddie Vedder manner, Im really impressed. Overall great record, very few and ignorable lows and the highs keep you hooked with Sia's one of a kind voice and lyrics as I mentioned before. Good Album, much better than most shit that passes as pop music nowadays.
