Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.3/100, a mean average of 69.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.9.

The electronic production is a bit darker edged, but the tracks are pop/house still, so it doesn't really put me to sleep like Senior. It's quite nice actually. There are some true gems here like "Monument", "Sordid Affair" and "Running to the Sea". But some decisions are a bit confusing too: why they put "You Know I Have To Go" (a really nice track) so early in the album and let it run for 7 minutes, but that last one is merely a strange electronic tradition.
All in all I can notice a common theme in these tracks. It's a bit dark, even depressing, a bit angry too. The beauty of electronic music is that you'll never really know what's going on in their lives, but you can feel it nonetheless.
OK pleasant enough with a few nice noises but nothing original and some naff soul pop. Not nearly as good as their earlier work.
