After the heydays of Elvis, Buddy Holly, and others the rock was practically dead between 1959 and 1963. Bands like Ventures, Shadows, and numerous other instrumental guitar bands were quite popular. But their popularity period was very short. Awaiting the Stones, Beatles, and Kinks. The days of these bands were over. This music and these bands in themselves are fun and they earn their place as the high school for many musicians.
