Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.0/100, a mean average of 75.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.6.

A demonstration of just how good the drums and the bass can be. It is so energetic and full of life that you get no real time to take a breath as it is just a constant wall of noise being thrown at you. I can see how that can put people off but I thoroughly enjoy it. The high tempo makes it so easy to rock out to and the quality of performance on here is fantastic. The songs Assassins and Dracula Mountain are phenomenal and I always love revisiting this album just for those songs. However, the record can feel a little bare at times and like it is just a skeleton that needs a little more added to it. Also, it can be a little bit too much at times and you do have to be in a certain mood to listen to this album. Overall, an energetic and fun record that gives us a unique listening experience.

Life is too short for this kind of deliberate torture.

Few albums really rock as hard as this bad boy. I was a little turned off at first due to the weird style, and lack of coherent lyrics, but after a second listen I realised that this album pulls off a feat that few albums can achieve; and that's the ability to make me headbang and rock out like a freaking maniac!!!!
