Three - four first songs are pretty good, the rest sre very forgettable. A very cute album for adult coctail parties, I reckon..?

Best track: Taste of Honey
Worst tracks: Lemon Tree, Whipped Cream, Garbanzo, Lady Fingers
I find this a fairly decent release, but for me, it lacks the kind of energy or inspiration needed to hold my attention through the whole album. Generally, the tracks are pretty lackluster and mundane.
Least collectable because almost every household in the US had a copy. The cover is admittedly provocative but the record itself is good clean fun. Mr. Alpert was a brilliant pop arranger and not a bad trumpet player. I love playing this disc in the car on a nice summer day, it just seems to fit.

Lambasted by Simon Reynolds in his retromania book as the least collectable record of all time. Not sure about that. For a start the musicians on it bar Alpert are the Wrrcking Crew by all accounts. Certainly sounds like Kaye on bass. Quick look around the net and it has generally favourable ratings. Nice bit of lounge cheese wont do you any harm. Will pick up a copy next time I see one in the charity shop.
