Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 25% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.3/100, a mean average of 72.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.1.

Somehow blends punk, new wave, and britpop into a cohesive album that never quite reaches the heights of any of these genre's finest records yet still produces a quite excellent album. 9/10! (Edited)

Love the melodies and harmonies. It's good light-hearted rock. Solid right through. One of the better albums of this genre. Very catchy and enjoyable.

Very good indie rock album. Best 10 songs average is 92,0/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. I like this sound and the album is rich in variety. Notable are the well-fitting electronic instruments and samples here and there. Best songs are the first three: "Everyday I love...", "I predict a riot" and "Modern way" all 95/100. Closely followed by "You can have it all", "Oh my god", "Born to be a dancer" and "Caroline, yes" all 90/100. There is no smash hit, but very good songs from beginning to the end, wow!!

For their debut, it is good, but doesn't really hold up to the standards of nostalgia for me.
