Totally agree with the previous comment. An underrated gem. They do beatlesque pop with tons of imagination and a funky twist. "The morning is waiting" is a stunner worthy of McCartney or Ray Davies at their best. This album was my introduction to Field music. Looking forward to hearing what they do next.
Field Music are still creating great art-pop or prog-pop or whatever other genre you want to pigeon hole them in to, but this album is much more geared towards general acceptance. It's funkier. Still high quality from great musicians. Imagine their album "Measure" with smoother poppier edges. Even though more accessible I doubt it will dent the charts. Sadly one of those bands who deserve to be more well known.
