Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Gorgeous, multi-layered R&B that takes its sweet time makes for a deliciously dreamy experience.
Chilled yet complex & layered debut LP from female R&B trio "KING". An hour glides by so smoothly yet one must appreciate the excellent production on display and how they use their beautiful vocals as instruments. Hugely underrated album (though hopefully the GRAMMY nomination will increase popularity) that deserves to be lost inside.
