Even more of a mess than the 1st album but greatness was on its way after this failed experiment.
"Join hands" is definitely the most traditionally post-punk album in the Banshess discography. The themes of war and isolation make a strong showing but "the lords prayer" probably should have been cut.

Not as good as their debut The Scream but still a good album. It contains Playground Twist a great Banshees song also Premature Burial & Placebo Effect. The album could have been so much better if The Lord's Prayer had been edited leaving room for The Staircase Mystery to be included on the album.
Very underrated. Poppy Day and Playground Twist are amazing songs, and the entire album is one great song after another, I honestly don't understand why it's ignored so often.
My least favorite Siouxsie album.
