This collection of very good songs is elevated to excellent by Kiwanuka's impassioned delivery (which reminds me of Marvin Gaye), the tasteful instrumentals and the superb production. 9/10!
Underrated album by an underrated musician.
Some very high peaks with Cold Little Heart and Love & Hate, but most songs aren't reaching beyond 'decent' or 'good'. Still it should be closer to the top 10 albums of 2016.
If this wasn't such an exceptional year for music, perhaps this would get more attention. Enjoyable album, great voice and okay lyrics. Nice production aswell.
