This is one of those rare albums where you can legitimately say that listening to it is an "adventure." It's all over the place stylistically, tonally, rhythmically, and lyrically. There isn't a bad song on it, and to me, "The Big Man Restless" is one of the greatest songs of the genre, the decade, and maybe even the album itself.
I was only aware of the single 'The Last Film' from way back in my distant memory then saw this 2nd hand on vinyl and bought it. 80's synthpop so it has a familiar sound (without knowing any of the other tracks), it makes you feel like you have heard it before. More Visage/earlier Human League than the poppier synth bands, I suppose....quite unusual in places but good, none the less.
