Cooder is my fav guitar player. He's great on acoustic& electric guitar & his slide work is just amazing.
This was my first time on this site and I was impressed with how complete your list of Ry Cooder's discography was until I got to the end. I don't to be rude but is this a joke? You've missed his whole later career, which most consider his best, and his two best and most influential albums. In 1994 Cooder released "Talking Timbuktu" with the brilliant Mali guitarist Ali Farka Touré. If you've never heard it you're in for a treat. Touré plays an exotic, bluesy slide guitar in the Mali style that blends beautifully with Cooder's own Southern blue slide guitar. The album is MAGIC, and I don't usually speak in caps! Arguably his best album. Just listen to the song Bondé. The best. Then Ry Cooder released Buena Vista Social Club in 1996, recorded in Cuba with an amazing collection of Cuban musicians, the album captured that classic Cuban sound and started a worldwide craze for that authentic sound that is still going strong today. If you don't know the albums, you owe it to yourself to check them out.
