Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. another one hit wonder band. their sound is pretty generic early 2000s alt-rock(which gave fundation for indie rock later in the decade). singer sounds like he is bored all the time, which has certain charm to it, but grows monotouns after couple songs. they are not bad to listen to from time to time but all in all they lack personality and substance

Love the first two albums from this band. The third is largely filler and a real let down. I saw them on the TV some months ago and they were bloody awful, trying to fit in to the crappy modern music fashions. I felt they looked uncomfortable doing it.

A great throwback sound before throwback sounds were all the range.
Great underrated band! Kelly Jones has a great voice that suits their rock sound. They have relate-able lyrics and great riffs. If they were around the 60's they would be celebrated a lot. They have many great singles and half of their albums are great. Personal favourites are Graffiti On The Train and Language. Sex. Violence. Other?
They are like The Strokes, 1st album brilliant, 2nd album half decent, and then downhill from there.
I could see this band just "being there" well into the 2020's
