In my opinion, the greatest Americana singer-songwriter of his generation. Hailing from Moscow, Idaho, Josh Ritter blends a love of words and a love of landscape to produce some of the most beautiful, clever, and moving songs of the twenty-first century. You probably don't need to hear his self-titled debut album, but everything he's done since then is finely crafted and deeply felt. Enthusiastically recommended.

An underappreciated, intelligent singer-songwriter in the acoustic/folk rock vein, Josh Ritter pens classic tunes with minimal recognition. You could choose any of his albums (after his debut) and not be disappointed.

Top American singer-songwriter, who's last 3 albums have been consistently excellent. He has a mix of styles and influences that go beyond the sometimes tedious one bloke and an acoustic guitar. Kind of like Malcolm Middleton but not quite as good.
