I'm from the Beatles/Stones/Dylan generation, but the artists who sort me into a subgroup are Fairport, the Dead, and Emmylou Harris... so obviously Fairport gets a whoppin' rating from me

England's answer to Jefferson Airplane. Electric folk didn't get any better than this and Richard Thompson survived the electric folk era to go on to even more essential recordings. Make sure you check out the Richard and Linda Thompson albums. They're classics.
