Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)

This artist is rated in the top 6% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 78.1/100, a mean average of 78.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.9/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 15.2.

Really good albums, but can be repititive. Actually, most songs don´t really appeal me.
Still worth listenig, though

I can't believe this band is ranked well over 500 in the bands ranking. Bad Religion deserve to be in the top 100 at the very least. They had such a long career, they are still good today, one of the most unique band around and they were making alternative punk-rock music before the 1991 Nirvana breakthrough... I think it says it all.

A little surprised by the lack of love here. Some of the albums sound too similar but No Control & Against the Grain really master who they are. If you're going to pick one or two albums from them those would be it.

One of the great punk bands who are not above calling themselves a punk band. I saw them last night and the energy was awesome. A very long and prolific career. I believe they need some more love from this site.

Consistently my favorite band since I discovered them in the early 1990's in high school. While their 21st century stuff can't compete with their 20th century stuff, they've never released an album I don't like, and they still put on a great live show.

Their albums as a whole don't do much for me, however each of them has 2 or 3 amazing songs. Their greatest hits would be perfection

Just listened to Suffer, No Control, and Recipe for Hate for the first time. It's fair to say it's difficult to tell one Bad Religion album from another as the songs sound so similar...good thing they all sound good :D
